Home With You is a full-service provider of home care services, including companionship and homemaking, personal care, geriatric needs assessment and management, and skilled nursing.
Susan Jamieson, founder of the company, has enjoyed a distinguished career as a nurse practitioner and clinical specialist in the field of gerontology. She has dedicated her life over the past 20 years to caring for seniors in a variety of settings, including hospitals, internal medicine offices, acute rehabilitation and long term care facilities.
In addition to these accomplishments, Susan has spent many years seeking ways to improve the quality of health care that is delivered to seniors and others who reside in nursing and other extended care facilities. It was this unwavering commitment that prompted her to establish Education Solutions for Long Term Care in 1998.
Like Home With You, Education Solutions was and is focused on addressing the physical and medical needs of seniors, with a particular emphasis on meeting the educational needs of nurses who care for geriatric patients in the long term care setting.
At Home With You, Susan has assembled a multidisciplinary team of specialists who are trained and ready to provide the type of assistance that seniors want or need in their home or on a supplemental basis when “home” is at a nursing, assisted living or long term care facility.
To ensure that seniors get the best assistance and care available, our caregivers are subjected to a rigorous evaluation process before they become part of the Home With You team.
In addition, they are required to participate in ongoing educational in-services covering a wide range of critical areas, such as Alzheimer’s, nutrition, incontinence, ambulation, mobility, communication and, very importantly, subtle mental and physical changes that a senior may exhibit, which can signal the early stages of a potentially serious decline in health.
